Scandinavian battle for Poland. Volvo and Scania go head to head, while Renault fires a rocket!

The Polish lorry market in 2025 delivered a thriller worthy of a good action film. According to the latest PZPM report, sales of new vehicles over 3.5 tonnes came to exactly 29,979 units. That is nearly 7% better than the difficult year of 2024! 📈 Although we are still 18% short of the 2023 records, the sector is clearly catching its second wind.

What happened at the top of the rankings? Here are the most interesting facts:

🇸🇪 Swedish battle of the giants: Volvo Trucks and Scania went neck and neck. Volvo ultimately wins in the overall standings and in tractor units. Scania doesn't give up and dominates the heavy chassis segment!

🤝 An extraordinary tie: An unprecedented situation! DAF and Mercedes-Benz tied for fourth place. Both brands registered exactly 4,385 vehicles. Such a coincidence happens once in a blue moon!

🚀 Renault surges ahead: This brand is the real rocket of the standings. In the tractor unit segment it recorded a record growth of over 54%, delivering more than a thousand vehicles!

🚛 Ford Trucks on the attack: The new market entrant climbed above eighth position for the first time. This is the result of Ford's strong growth alongside painful declines for Iveco.

📉 Not all rosy: The light chassis market (3.5–16t) performed worst of all. It recorded a decline of almost 11% compared to the previous year. Hauliers here are still tightening their belts. 🛑

The most important market for us — tractor units — grew by 10% year on year. It is clear that Polish transport is betting on the heaviest equipment, even though overall sales have yet to return to the levels of two years ago. 🛣️
