Cookie policy

This policy describes how the datasystem.pl website (hereinafter: 'the Site') uses cookies and similar tracking technologies.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files saved by your browser on your end device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit websites. Cookies enable, amongst other things, the storing of session data and user preferences, as well as the collection of anonymous information about how the Site is used.

We distinguish between first-party cookies (1st-party), set directly by the Site, and third-party cookies (3rd-party), set by external service providers embedded in the Site.

2. Legal basis

The use of cookies is governed by:

  • Articles 173 and 174 of the Polish Telecommunications Act of 16 July 2004 (implementing the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC as amended) — requiring consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary;
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) — in respect of the processing of personal data via cookies (Article 6(1)(a) — consent; Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in security).

3. Categories of cookies used

3.1. Strictly necessary cookies

These are essential for the correct operation of the Site and the online shop. They enable navigation, log-in, and the management of the shopping basket and purchase session. They do not require user consent and cannot be disabled without losing the core functions of the Site.

3.2. Functional cookies

These remember user preferences (e.g. language, currency) and improve the experience of using the Site. They may be set by the Site itself or by trusted partners.

3.3. Analytical cookies

These allow us to measure traffic on the Site and analyse user behaviour (e.g. pages visited, time spent, traffic source) in order to improve how the Site functions. They require the user's consent.

3.4. Marketing cookies

These are used to display advertisements tailored to the user's interests (remarketing) on external platforms (e.g. Facebook/Meta). They require the user's consent.

6. Managing cookie consent

6.1. Consent panel (cookie banner)

On your first visit to the Site, a banner is displayed requesting your consent to specific categories of cookies. Consent is managed via the seigicookie module. Your choices are saved and respected on subsequent visits. Analytical and marketing cookies are loaded only once the relevant consent has been granted (via the Google Consent Mode v2 mechanism).

To change or withdraw consent previously given, please use the cookie management panel available in the Site footer, or click the cookie icon in the corner of any page of the Site, which will reopen the consent management panel.

6.2. Managing cookies via your browser

Independently of the consent panel, you can manage cookies directly in your browser settings. Links to instructions for the most popular browsers are provided below:

Further information about managing cookies: youronlinechoices.com.

6.3. Opting out of Google Analytics tracking

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the browser add-on available at: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. Consequences of disabling or refusing cookies

  • Strictly necessary cookies — blocking these makes it impossible to use the core functions of the Site (log-in, shopping basket, placing orders).
  • Functional cookies — disabling these may mean you need to reselect your language and currency on each visit.
  • Analytical and marketing cookies — their absence does not affect your ability to use the Site, but it does mean no personalisation of advertising content and limited information about the Site's performance available to the controller.

8. Changes to the cookie policy

The controller reserves the right to amend this cookie policy, in particular in connection with technological or legal changes or changes to the scope of external services used. The current version of the policy is always available at datasystem.pl/polityka-ciasteczek.

Further information about personal data protection principles is set out in the Privacy policy.
