The e-TOLL system is a modern solution built, implemented, maintained and supervised by the Head of the Polish National Revenue Administration for the purpose of collecting tolls on paid road sections in Poland managed by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. The system is based on technology that determines the user's position by means of satellite positioning using virtual gantries. Every operator of a vehicle with a maximum permissible gross weight above 3.5 t may fit their vehicle with an e-TOLL GPS tracker, set up an account in the National Revenue Administration system at www.etoll.gov.pl by providing the BiznesID of the e-TOLL GPS tracker, and start settling toll charges automatically. Operators of passenger cars and vans with a maximum permissible gross weight below 3.5 tonnes may likewise fit their vehicle with an e-TOLL GPS tracker, set up an account in the NRA system and automatically settle journeys on state motorways, without having to buy tickets or use a smartphone with a dedicated application.
Once the e-TOLL GPS tracker has been fitted in the vehicle, you need to register your company and vehicle in the government e-TOLL system (www.etoll.gov.pl) using the BiznesID included in the box with the tracker. The package also contains detailed instructions for registering in the e-TOLL system in Polish and English. Next, top up your e-TOLL account with a minimum of PLN 120 (about EUR 30) and you can hit the road. Passage through toll gates on so-called 'state' motorways takes place without collecting a ticket. The gates remain open at all times. The toll is settled automatically. For lorries, vehicles with trailers over 3.5 tonnes and coaches on expressways (the so-called 'S-roads'), where there are no gates, no action is required. If the tracker is connected to the power supply, the journey is settled automatically.
To use the e-TOLL system, you need to purchase the vehicle monitoring and locating service, which consists of: a certified e-TOLL GPS tracker offered on our websites and a subscription for 1, 2 or even 3 years. The subscription covers all charges related to data transmission for the e-TOLL system, SIM card maintenance, e-TOLL service activation, forwarding data to the government e-TOLL servers, access to the free DSLocate mobile application, route archives and technical support. In order to continue using the system, the subscription must be renewed before it expires. Otherwise, the subscription will lapse at the end of the purchased period.
The National Revenue Administration, which is responsible for the e-TOLL system, requires that data transmission be uninterrupted and continuous. For this reason, vehicle tracking companies need to undergo a long and demanding certification process in order to be integrated with the e-TOLL system. Certification covers not only the GPS tracker itself, but also the entire network infrastructure, including the tracking application, the servers and the data transmission frequency. As a result, the same type of tracker that is much cheaper on popular auction sites will not be accepted by the KAS if the tracking service provider has not undergone the appropriate certification.
When buying the GPS trackers offered by Data System on our website, there is no need to sign any contract. During the purchase you only need to provide billing details and an email address, and choose the subscription period, i.e. how long the GPS tracker should send data to the e-TOLL system (the options are 1, 2 or even 3 years; in the case of promotions some periods may not be available). The purchase can also be made by a private individual.
Of course that is not necessary. About 3 months before the subscription period ends, we will contact you to offer an extension for another period. You can also visit our website and renew the subscription yourself by paying with a Visa or MasterCard. If you decide not to renew the subscription, the service will expire and the GPS tracker will stop transmitting. There is no need to return or uninstall the device, as you are the owner of the tracker. You can, however, always contact us and even after the subscription has expired restore the tracker's operation for a chosen period (1, 2 or 3 years).
The subscription cost will remain the same as the one currently offered. As now, three subscription periods will be available: one-year, two-year and three-year. Please note that for selected promotional offers some periods may not be available. You will always be able to extend the subscription by contacting us at biuro@datasystem.pl, and it will also be possible to purchase the subscription directly in the DSLocate application.
Not necessarily. Our GPS trackers offered in our online shop can easily be moved between vehicles. This is particularly straightforward in the case of the tracker plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. Please bear in mind, however, that when the tracker is used to settle journeys on toll roads in the e-TOLL system, when moving the tracker between vehicles you need to remove the BiznesID assigned to the vehicle in the e-TOLL system at www.etoll.gov.pl from which the tracker is being taken, and assign the same BiznesID to the new vehicle. If you move the tracker between vehicles without reassigning the BiznesID in the e-TOLL system, the toll charges will be applied to a vehicle with a different registration number.
Of course. When using our GPS trackers abroad, we offer a flat-rate roaming service within the EU or flat-rate roaming outside the EU. It consists of a single, flat-rate fee for one, two or even three years, which covers the data transmission costs for all trips abroad. To purchase the flat-rate roaming service, please contact Data System at biuro@datasystem.pl or find this function in the DSLocate application. Under the flat-rate fee, you may travel outside the country without any limits on mileage or time spent in roaming.
In addition to the e-TOLL service, our GPS trackers offer many extra features. These can be used once a separate contract has been signed. After signing the contract, the range of options provided by the DSLocate tracking application expands considerably. A long list of various Reports appears, together with access to an extensive alarm module and a notification system; it also becomes possible to install wireless fuel probes in the vehicle or fuel tank opening sensors. With a dedicated GPS tracker it is also possible to read data from the vehicle's on-board computer or remotely download files from the tachograph. The GPS monitoring system based on the extended version of the DSLocate application is a comprehensive tool for managing the vehicle fleet in any company.
