The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) has just handed out a huge sum of money. The funds will go to the biggest players in the market (Enea, Energa, PGE, Tauron), and we won't see the effects of this investment until the end of 2029.

What exactly do we get for this huge sum of public money?
👉 Just 147 charging points.
👉 Total installed capacity: 493 MW.
👉 Locations: main roads (the TEN-T network) and selected logistics hubs.
Comparing the enormous costs with the physical results for the still niche electric lorries certainly gives food for thought.
There is another side to the coin, though ⚖️
The Ministry firmly defends the investment. Poland spends over 100 billion zł a year importing fossil fuels! According to the government, electrifying transport and expanding the network is the foundation that will make us energy self-sufficient and, in the longer term, bring huge savings.
